My mother-in-law came into town the other day and wanted to see Downtown Little Rock, so we took her to the market off of Markham St.. We love this area of town, it has a city feel with a laid back environment, that is unique to Little Rock. After a fun morning of buying fresh organic produce, the kids started getting fussy, and as every parent knows, food is now required.
As we walked towards the car, we spotted a cool looking little place on the corner of E. Markham and Scott St. The name of the place was what first got my attention. It is called @ The Corner, and being a bit of a geek, this appealed to me.
The setting is like a 50’s diner, but it’s not a grease trap like most of them were. It had that upscale fun family feel, that you want to find in a city like Little Rock.
The menu isn’t big, which is a plus, not a minus, but still has a great selection of burgers and sides to please everyones’ tastes.
We were in the mood for some good burgers, and I can tell you that they were Awesome! The friendly staff at @ The Corner make their own pickles, which they use on their burgers and they also use pickled unions. I think next time, I’m going to ask for a side of pickles and extra unions on my burger. These burgers will really exceed your expectations.
After meeting the owner, who is kind and helpful, and really cares about your dining experience, we went on with our day, with full bellies and huge smiles. 🙂
All in all, if you’re in the mood for a great burger place in Little Rock and want a clean friendly place to enjoy your burger, then you really ought to check @ The Corner out. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, @ The Corner for the memories, we will be back again soon, for sure.
